Makeup | COVERGIRL Vitalist Elixir Shade 610 & Melting Pout 105 Gel-Ful Review
COVERGIRL Vitalist Elixir Shade 610 Classic Ivory
Price: ~$12 CAD
Finally a hydrating, vitamin-infused formula for beautiful, buildable coverage that glides on smoothly for a flawless look. A special antioxidant and vitamin complex plus SPF 20 work together to make your skin look healthy all day. Give your skin a luminous glow. Available in multiple shades from light to deep.
- Packaging: Love the pump! Very easy to dispense product, but the clear cap makes everything look very dirty haha
- Finish: Semi-matte
- Formula: Felt a little thick and was a little streaky. For those who have combo-oily skin, this will not last long on you. Many foundations are okay after I blot when I get a little shiny but this completely transferred off onto the blotting sheet or wherever I accidentally rubbed lol. It did feel slightly hydrating.
- Others said it broke them out but it didn't for me
- Longevity: My skin isn't very oily but it broke up around my nose after 3-4 hours.
- Perhaps just not the right formula for me. Most foundations that feel heavier tend to last long. However this one did not- probably due to the fact it isn't meant to control oil.
- Recommend: Normal to dry skin.
PROS:
- Medium buildable coverage
- Semi-matte finish
- SPF 20
- Antioxidant and vitamin complex
- Good Shade Range
- Pump
- Good shade match for NC20-25
- Slightly Hydrating
CONS:
- Not good for combo-oily skin
- Wasn't the easiest to blend out
- Not very long lasting for combo skin (I'm not even very oily...) - oily skin girls may want to avoid.

Melting Pout 105 Gel-Ful
Price: ~$8 CAD
If you want color so hot, it's melted, this is the lipstick for you! New Melting Pout Liquid Lipsticks give you a high-impact, super rich color with a lightweight, satin finish. Melting Pout lipsticks give you Intensely rich color in a gel-based formula for a smooth finish
- Packaging: Squeezey tube with a rounded sponge at the tip
- Finish: Semi Matte - Light/medium pink with a hint of peach
- Formula: Interesting and odd product. It does indeed feel as if you had melted a lipstick and put it in a tube. However, for these semi-matte, mousse-y/velvety products, I'm more used to it "setting," but it doesn't really. It is indeed light weight, but this particular color is a bit light on my lips and appears patchy. Additionally, not very long lasting as it transfers easily because it never really "sets." It wasn't as drying as other liquid lipsticks, but did make my lips peel at the end of the day. Formula wise, very similar to the Armani Lip Maestros.
- Light
- Slightly moisturizing/not as dry as other liquid lipsticks
- Pretty universal shade
- The formula feels like a possible dupe for Armani Lip Maestros for a fraction of the price.
CONS:
- This particular shade was patchy
- Not long wearing
- Transfers easily
